Jumpsuit: George at Asda* // Shirt: George at Asda* // Shoes: George at Asda* // Jumper: Primark // Necklace: Primark
This is my first attempt at styling, and first time wearing, a jumpsuit. I wanted to style this piece to be suitable for our inconsistent British summer weather. To fit this, I didn't just want to wear it straight with a pair of nice shoes and a bag, I wanted layers.
I love this simple shirt, the crisp white instantly adds a smarter edge to the outfit but the rounded collar keeps it just on the casual side. I find layering light shirts and blouses in summer is really handy when you're not quite sure what the weather is doing. You're covered up enough for those moments when the sun ducks behind the clouds, but not too hot when it's shining. Go one step further for the evening and add a cropped jumper to keep warm, or roll a full length jumper slightly and tuck it into a belt.
Have you ventured into jumpsuits before? How do you style them?
