Dress: Jones + Jones* // Clutch: Primark // Wedges: Primark
My boyfriend was recently an usher at one of his friend's wedding, he looked so smart in his little usher suit with tails and everything! This was the first proper wedding I've been to as an adult, so it was pretty exciting!
We headed off after work on a Thursday night, to our hotel in Essex, before the wedding on the Friday. We made loads of CDs to make the journey go quicker, so we spent most of the time singing along to TLC, girl/boy bands, rock classics and then bopped along to our favourite drum and bass. We stayed in a Marriott hotel for two nights and it was really lovely, we had the most humongous bed ever as we requested king size ha, plus loads of feather pillows. We've definitely decided we need feather pillows for our bed now. I instagrammed me looking little on the bed here haha.
I went to the Jones + Jones blogger event a while ago and found the perfect wedding guest dress. It's the Natalie dress in a Liberty print. I love the simplicity of the design, as the print says enough for the dress anyway! It just has small lace inserts at the waist, black trim and netting plus a slit opening at the chest. I did have to put a small stitch in the slit as it was a bit too boobie for a wedding! I only stitched about 5cm up from the bottom, but it meant that the top didn't gape open so much. I decided against any accessories, as I thought the dress was eye catching enough as it was :) I really love the print!
The wedding itself was beautiful - the bride looked amazing, I loved her dress. It was a really fun day and the weather was gorgeous. The meal was really tasty and there was a disco and photobooth in the evening! I have to admit I did spend quite a lot of time in the photobooth, who wouldn't?!
For my first proper adult wedding, I was really impressed and can't wait for more of our friends to start getting married! I would definitely recommend checking out Jones + Jones for any weddings or occasions you have coming up, they have some beautiful designs and I was so happy with my choice for the wedding! <3
