Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment

I received this bottle of hair oil at the South West bloggers Christmas party, which I posted about here, in a lovely little surprise Christmas present from the organisers of the event.

I've seen so many different reviews of hair oils on blogs, however despite the rave reviews I've always been a bit wary thinking that they might just leave my hair heavy and greasy. So when I received this little bottle in my gift, I was really excited to give it a try without having to invest in a full size bottle!

The bottle states that this oil can be applied to damp or dry hair, before styling or finishing. I have only used this on damp hair before blow drying, using it on the tips to mid lengths of my hair. The oil isn't as thin as I thought it would be, it's more like the consistency of syrup, so it's really easy to work into your hair without creating a massive mess! After blow drying, my hair feels so soft and healthy and this lasts right up until your next wash!

I will definitely be buying the full size bottle of this product when my small bottle runs out, however I have been using this quite regularly and it doesn't seem to be running out quickly which is great!

Have you tried any Macadamia Oil products before, or any other hair oil? What do you think? x

  1. You've reminded me I have this! I do have other hair oils I need to use up first though. This will be handy one to take with me if I go away though!

  2. I nearly bought this the other day,but managed to talk myself out of it with the reasoning that most hair oils are probably just the same. I currently use the L'oreal Extraordinary Oil, which I do really like, but am always on the hunt for something better. However, lately I feel like I've bought so many products that are no better than the similar ones I've got that I've become a bit fed up with wasting my pennies! I know that this is a well loved brand though, so maybe I will give in this time.
Just noticed that you're from Cheltenham - I lived there when I was at uni! I miss that place.
    Hope you're having a nice weekend :)

  3. I think the best way to use a hair oil and avoid that greasy roots look is just to apply it to your mid-lengths and ends! I am becoming a huge fan of Macadamia and I love the healing dry oil spray xo
