I recently turned 22 and the weekend before my birthday I was surprised by my boyfriend and housemate to an Alice in Wonderland themed party! It was all arranged without me knowing, they even bought my outfit and decorated the house!
I was given my costume at lunchtime then taken to Well Walk Tea Room with a group of friends for afternoon tea. The staff at Well Walk were amazing, they were so happy to have a mad hatter's tea party visit, they even specially made the 'eat me' cakes for our party! Everyone's costumes were amazing - my friend Ellie even made a giant paper-mache teapot so she could be the door mouse in the teapot!
After our lovely afternoon at Well Walk we headed home and we were met later in the evening by a few more people at our house. Josh and Stefan had covered the door to our lounge with card to make a tiny Alice sized door, so everyone had to duck to get through! Before you got to the door there were little glasses saying 'drink me' (which in reality were just shots) so you could fit! We played loads of games, like higher/lower with the giant cards, shot roulette, mini carpet croquet and drinking Jenga, then headed out to a club!
I had such an amazing birthday - the boys did such a good job of organising it! Have you ever had a themed party? What would your ideal theme be? x
